To view the latest Digital Money Forum click here. Now in its fifth year, the annual Digital Money Forum involved two days of interactive discussion and debate from the centre of the digital money world. The Forum is not about technology or marketing: it is about the whole subject of the digitisation of money and the implications of that process for individuals, businesses and governments. Both speakers and delegates are leaders in field, looking at the evolution of electronic payments from the retail, regulatory, bank, legal, sociological and other perspectives. With experts in financial systems, interactive TV, mobile commerce, mass transit, retail and related subjects gathered in one place, the Forum continues to be the place to be for anyone who wants to understand Digital Money. Last year, the audience came from as far afield as the USA and Singapore to discuss topics ranging from the euro and non-interest bearing currencies to pre-paid mobile telephony and e-mail payments. This year, the subjects on the agenda included the role of mass transit operators in introducing electronic cash to the European Commission's Directive on "Electronic Money Insitutions" and the potential for new payment technologies to implement "social money". Due to the success of the Forum, this year the number of places were limited to 70 in order to preserve the much-valued interative nature of the event. Day One:
